I will be starting with microcontrollers in the next two weeks and will be posting my projects and progress. First I’ll do some beginner projects and then will move onto a larger project controlling a woodstove in conjunction with my hvac units… exciting!
UPDATE:10/14/2011
I have been struggling with this one. Although I am making progress it is quite slow. The tutorials and training material are lacking at best. It seems all the information is available but not well communicated for a beginner.
There is a lot of information to learn. First I need to understand the hardware, then the required components and circuitry. After that is understood, I then must learn how to program in C#, and figure out how to turn on and off certain features of the microcontroller in order to be able to use each pin of the package for each different thing I want to do.
So, you can see this is quite involved and has a steep learning curve. Once I have learned enough to put something together I will write a nice tutorial to getting started with PIC Microcontrollers that wont leave you with more questions rather than answers.
