gary boyce
Here is the PCB before any holes are drilled and freshly etched.
I ran into some complications with the transfer and so some of the traces and pads had to be hand drawn prior to etching. This was my first time using the toner transfer and etch. I am unhappy with the results and difficulty of this method. In the near future I will be exploring the Photo-Resist method. It seems that the toner transfer and etch method would be fine for single sided PCBs but is less than optimal for double sided boards due to how easy it is to mess up the transfer with even the smallest of movements during the transfer. Here is the PCB art work and Fritzing file.
For those who don’t know, Fritzing is an opensource software for designing PCBs.
